Talked with Eric Newfield (Our Simms Rep) who had fished the lower Wenatchee and the Methow the last couple of days. The fishing has been quite good with him landing numerous fish both on the fly rod as well as on his centerpin outfit fishing floats and jigs. Sounds as if the fishing was more than adequate to keeps one's interest.
Many of the other fishermen that we have spoke with are likewise doing well. I would have to say that the vast majority have been fishing floats and jigs, though a number have been conventionally drift fishing as well as chucking spoons such as RVRFSHR or Cleo's. As far as finishes go stick with 50 / 50 brass / nickle, copper or brass in the hammered styles.
Fishing should hold up well until the rivers start to freeze up.
