Methow River - Steelhead

With the river being extremely low and clear there has not been many fish entering into the system from the Columbia. Hopefully we will get enough rain with this system to get things going. The reports that we have been getting from Lake Pateros (backwater of the Columbia into the mouth of the river) have been quite good for those fishing a float and jig tipped with a piece of shrimp.

The good local fishermen have been getting a few out of the river, but have been working hard for them.

I would look for this fishing to improve substantially when the river comes up.
