Blackmouth Sightings - Area 9 & 10

Talked with Pete (one of the WDFW test fishermen in Area 10) today and they managed to catch a few legal blackmouth and lots of 17 -19 inch sub-legal shakers off of Jefferson Head today. they also managed to catch a couple of coho in addition to the blackmouth.

One of the other customers had 4 nice blackmouth up to 12 -13 pounds incidental to his coho while fishing off the west side of the Possession Bar yesterday. That makes things look good for the November 1 opener in Area 9.

Make sure to look over your regulations as things are quite confusing at the present time.
