Didn't sound as if the opener on Tuesday was much to write home about on the lower Wenatchee. Water was "Low", and though there were a few fish hooked and landed it was a far cry from what was expected. I am sure that there are good numbers of fish hanging in the main stream of the Columbia just waiting for some rain and a rise in the waters flow to entice them into the tributary streams.
If I were going over this weekend I would more than likely join the boys fishing Lake Pateros with a bobber and jig tipped with a shrimp for some steelhead action.
Make sure to read the WDFW regulations before you venture forth.
