John (Captain Downriggin's) e-mailed a couple of pictures and a fishing report from yesterday down in Marine Area 13. Here's what he sent:
Fished the mid morning tide Sunday. Had a stellar day of blackmouth fishing in MA-13. In fact I released 11 keeper sized fish between 22 and 25-inches (haven't done this for some time - not counting shakers) Kept two for the BBQ. Acid Bath spoon and white "Holy" flasher down along the bottom at roughly 2.5 kts was the ticket!
We marked a lot of fish on some good sized bait balls off Green Point. Had the water to ourselves - not a sole to be seen! Fish are avberaging 5 - 7 pounds.
If folks are willing to make the trip it should be worth the effort.
