Spring Chinook Re-Opens on the Lower Columbia

Spring Chinook fishing will re-open on the lower Columbia River tomorrow, Sunday May 15! With a run that has come in late and larger than what the preseason estimates were we have been given through June 15 to fish these choice salmon 7 days a week! Both boaters and bank anglers can fish from Rocky Point / Tounge Point upriver to Beacon Rock. Bank anglers only may fish from Beacon Rock upriver to the fishing boundary below Bonneville Dam.

You will be allowed to retain 1 hatchery Chinook as well as sockeye and hatchery steelhead. Make sure to read your regulations as to limits for these species.

With so much going on at the present time fishing wise it will be hard to make a choice as to what species to go and chase! What ever fish you decide to chase have a good time doing such!
