The kokanee fishing at Lake Stevens has turned on and is producing quite well for the past few weeks. Though the number of fish that one catches has been dependent upon how knowledgeable one is on the kokanee scene, but overall we are hearing that just about everyone has been at least catching some. With the better fishing we should see some very good results on the 2nd Annual Lake Stevens Kokanee Derby coming up this weekend.
John Thomas of Rotten Chum Guide Service managed to fish himself this past weekend and managed to land a couple of limits of these great eating landlocked salmon. They were able to limit in three and a half hours fishing Dick Nite Dodgers trailing beaded spinners tipped with a maggot and smeared with Dick Nite DNA Scent.
