Lake Stevens Kokanee Fishing

With this past weekends Kokanee Derby over the angling pressure on the lake has dininished substaintally. There was perhaps a half dozen boats plying the waters this morning. The bite has been definetly a first light bite with the greatest portion of the catch coming from dawn till around 7:00 a.m.. The fish have been getting a little deeper over this past week with catches as deep as 50 feet. The fish are growing quite rapidly and putting on weight. Most of the fish are in the 13 -14 inch range with an odd larger fish.
