Edmonds Pier - King Salmon

Well, after a very dry Fall, Winter & Spring for the salmon fishermen off the Edmonds pier there has finally been a little salmon action. We had two of the regular pier guys hook and loose very respectable kings off the pier yesterday. Both fish were in the upper teens or low twenties and unfortunately had an affinity for the barnacle / mussel covered pilings of the pier and broke free. Hopefully this is just the start of what we hope to be a good season. We have heard of a few kings that were caught and released on the Possession Bar over the past few weeks by individuals that were jigging lead minnows such as Point Wilson Darts for lingcod.
