Port Angeles - Sequim Halibut

Just got off the phone with Norm Metzler in Port Angeles. It sounds as if the halibut fishing is considerably better in this area compared to what we have seen in the far eastern portion of the area. He said that the fishermen in that area averaged about 1/2 a halibut per boat. Definitely better than what we have seen in Mutiny and Admiralty Bay the past couple of days. Norm mentioned that the largest fish he has heard of pegged the scales at 70 pounds. We had one of our customers in today that had fished Dallas Banks yesterday and had two fish one around 15 and another around 35 pounds.
