The reports that we had in today from those who went out ling cod fishing was nothing short of good. Most everyone that we spoke with had no problem in getting their legal ling cod. Many fishermen caught a number of fish that were both under and over the slot limit, but everyone was happy with the opening day results. Here's an over sized ling that was caught and released by Matt yesterday. We didn't hear of any one spot being hotter than any other place, nor one bait being better than anything else. If you were not fortunate to get on the water yesterday you still have through June 15th to get out there.
