Ling Cod Area 9

Overall, I have seen a better than average ling cod season for those getting out there. Most everyone that I have spoke with has been getting at least some fair action on these tasty bottomfish. Those fishing lead heads and plastics, swim baits and those that have been fishing live baits such as shiner perch or flounders have all been connecting. Though many of the popular areas have been fished very hard since the opener and the fish have been educated, for those willing to put in the time there will still be lots of lings to be landed before our season closes on June 15th.
