Smelting - Oak Harbor

We are still hearing of good numbers of smelt being caught at Oak Harbor. If you are looking for something to do then this just might be something for you to do. A very simple fishery requiring the most basic of gear. A normal trout outfit, a couple of Gamakatsu Smelt / Herring Jigs, a few 1/2 - 3/4 ounce sinkers and a bucket and you are ready to go.

We should see good smelting both at Oak Harbour and Coronet Bay at least into March.
