Lone Lake - Whidbey Island

In talking with a number of fly fisherman fishing this popular Whidbey Island quality water the trout fishing has been quite good with fish averaging in the 13 - 14 inch range with an occasional fish pushing into the 18 inch + slot. The fish have been in great shape nice n bright n shiny and full of fight. Most everyone has been doing well on smaller leach patterns that are tied nice and slim. Colors have ranged from black to brown to maroon and a mixture of those colors. Fish them slow and within 1 1/2 feet of the bottom. This fishing will just get better in the next couple of months.
