Blackmouth Fishing - Areas 8-2 & 9

Even though the weather was quite nice the past few days there was not a large contingent of salmon anglers on the water. In speaking with a number of the guys that did venture out I would have to say that the fishing was just "Fair" and those that had an idea of what was going on managed to scratch a few fish. Most of those we head caught were from just legal into the low to mid teens. You will have to work for them but if you put in the time and keep your offerings in the zone you might be rewarded.

The reports that we got out of Mid Channel Bank (Port Townsend) were not good enough to warrant the long run up that way. I would have to say that the local reports were just as good or in fact better. Save your fuel and fish local.
