Skykomish River Steelhead & Salmon
Though the weather and the river has had its ups and downs since the river opened on June 1st the fishing overall has been quite good. We have had good reports coming from the boat fishermen in the Sultan/Wallace Flats area where they have been connecting with good numbers of nice summer run steelhead and an occasional Chinook. The bank guys fishing the intake, Procter Creek and Cable Hole areas of the upper river have also been doing well on summer fish. So far the steelhead fishing has been above average and hopefully we will have a better than average season for a change. As far as the salmon goes, its still a tad early to get a good idea of what we are going to see. Time will tell.
