Sitka Alaska - "Great" King Salmon Reports

All the reports that I have had out of this popular SE Alaska king salmon mecca have been nothing short of outstanding. All of the charter skippers that I have spoke with the past couple of days have had nothing but rave revues. Most of the fish have been in the low to mid twenties with an occasional fish into the 30's. The top fish in the Sitka Salmon Derby at present is 50 1/2 pounds.

Most everyone is saying this is the best season they have seen in the past ten years. Hopefully, this fishery will hold up through June!
