Though the river was up and a little high this morning there was still a good number of sleds and bank fishermen on the river today. We heard of a mixture of steelhead, from chrome bright summer runs to late winter fish that were showing a good bit of color. There was an odd Chinook thrown in for good measure, overall the fishing was fair for the opener.
With the front that is moving in this evening and a prediction of 2 - 3 inches of rain here and more in the mountains, I am sure we will have the river blow out of shape for awhile. Looks as if on Friday we will once again see another front move in just to dump even more rain.
We do have fresh shrimp in stock as well as lots of good eggs.
