Icicle River Kings
Though the river and fishing has been plagued with high water conditions since opening, the fishing reports have been quite good on those days the river has been fishable. There has been no lack of angling pressure with as many as 30 boats fishing this little stretch of water on a daily basis. Fish have been caught on a variety of different baits: salmon eggs drift fished or back-bounced through the holes, plugs such as Yakima Baits Mag Lips - Flatfish - Kwickfish - Mag Wiggle Warts - Magnum Brads Wigglers, larger spinners such as Vibrex in size 5 or 6 and even small (red sized) herring. Most of the fish have been in the lower teens with an occasional fish pushing the 20 pound mark. Fish are showing a little color but are still in good shape flesh wise.
