Make sure that you read over your saltwater regulations for this next month as many areas are closing as of midnight tomorrow and many areas are changing as to what species may be retained and limits. Make sure you know what is going on before you venture forth. Not everything is uniform!
Here's a little rundown - but make sure that you read the regulations yourself in case I mess up!
Marine Area 5 - Sekiu and Piller Point
October 1 - 15 Chinook - minimum size 22". Other salmon species - no minimum size. Daily limit 2 (combined) Only 1 Chinook may be retained.
Marine Area 6 - East Juan de Fuca Strait
October 1 -31 Chinook - minimum size 22". Other salmon species - no minimum size. Daily limit 2 (combined) Only 1 Chinook may be retained.
Marine Area 7 - San Juan Islands
October 1 - 31 Chinook - minimum size 22". Other salmon species - no minimum size. Dailey limit 2 (combined). Only 1 Chinook may be retained. Release "Wild" Coho.
Marine Area 8-1 Deception Pass, Hope Island and Skagit Bay
Closed (with the exception of the Oak Harbor Fishery) Make sure to read regulations.
Marine Area 8-2 Port Susan and Port Gardner
Northern portion on area - Closed
October 1 - 31 Southern portion of area - No minimum size. Daily limit 2 (combined) Release Chinook.

Marine Area 9 - Admiralty Inlet
October 1 -31 No minimum size. Daily limit 2. Release Chinook
Marine Area 10 Seattle / Bremerton Area
October 1 - Jan 31 Chinook minimum size 22". Other salmon species - no minimum size. Daily limit 2 (combined) Release "Wild" Chinook.
Marine Area 11 - Tacoma / Vashon Island
October 1 -31 Chinook minimum size 22". Other salmon species - no minimum size. Daily limit 2 (combined).
Marine Area 12 - Hood Canal
October 1 - December 31 Chinook minimum size 22". Other salmon species - no minimum size. Daily limit 4 (combined) Only 1 Chinook may be retained.
Marine Area 13 - South Puget Sound
October 1 - 31 Chinook minimum size 22". Other salmon species no minimun size. Daile limit 2 (combined) Release "Wild" Coho.
As you see there are "LOTS" of little changes that can mess you up.
