Talked with a number of customers that fished this morning with the typical "Hit & Miss" fishing for coho that we experience at this time of year. There is no magical "Hot Spot" that is consistent as the coho have the rivers on their mind and are wasting no time in getting there. You just have to make a decision as where you are going to fish and hope that you made the "Right" choice! We had customers that limited out this AM quite easily with fish in the 8 - 15 pound range and we also heard from good fishermen that blanked! So don't get upset if you don't happen to be the one with the limits, as the guy that did just happened to "Luck Out" and be in the right place that day.
Overall, we are hearing of relatively good fishing with the vast majority of anglers still managing to find their fish. Lots of "Nice" silvers in the 7 - 13 pound range with an occasional one into the higher teens.
Even though it is quite late in the season there are still a few pinks to be caught in the salt.
