Coho Are Here!

Though we have been seeing an occasional ocean coho here and there for the past couple of weeks and an odd individual managing to catch 2 or 3 on a rare day it looks as if they are finally here in good numbers.  One of our regulars fishing off Edmonds this AM had a very quick limit of ocean coho in the 6 -8 pound range and said that the other 6 -7 boats in the area also were also playing fish around him.  He spoke briefly to Toby Black (WDFW Test Boat) and he also had caught three.  We should see good coho numbers from now into the first part of October, but remember that these earlier returning fish are by far better biting fish and are still actively feeding.  Those returning latter have the river on their minds and are less interested at biting your offering.  Bob had his fish in the 55 -75 depth range this AM.
