Cutthroat - Lake Wasington & Lake Samamish
The late fall / winter cutthroat fishing in Lake Washington and Lake Samamish has been fair the past few weeks. Most everyone that we have spoke with has been getting at least a couple of fish and some have had limits. Most of the fish have been in the 10 - 18 inch range. Lake Samamish has been turning out a better average size, with many of the fish in the 13 - 18 inch range, while Lake Washington's have been a 3 - 4 inches smaller on average. The fish have been in the 10 - 25 foot depth zones with many anglers fishing downriggers or lead core line to obtain the depth. Tomic Wee Tad plugs, Luhr Jensen Needlefish and Gang Trolls followed by a Wedding Ring tipped with a worm or nightcrawler have all been producing fish.
