Columbia River To Remain Open Through Tuesday April 19th

Once again the Columbia River fishery managers have decided to extend the recreational sport salmon fishing season through Tuesday, April 19th. The decision was made due to the high river flows and poor water conditions that have continued to hamper the Chinook fishing success on the Lower River. The river will remain open through Tuesday, April 19 from Bouy 10 to Rooster Rock State Park for both boat and bank anglers and from Roster Rock to Bonneville Dam for bank fishing only. The Daily bag limit continues to be 2 adult salmon / steelhead in combination, of which only one may be an adult Chinook. Hatchery (marked) fish only. There are 3,100 upriver spring Chinook remaining in the harvest quota.
