Edmonds Pier

King salmon fishing off the Edmonds pier has not been anything to write home about this season as the number of fish hooked off the pier has shown. The fishing has picked up a tad bit over the past week, but is no where close to what we saw this past season. On the better days there have been perhaps 6 - 8 fish hooked with 2 -3 landed. Overall, we have been seeing only one or two kings landed per day. Like I said nothing fantastic by any means. The typical lead minnows such as Point Wilson Darts in the 2 1/4 on size in either the candlefish or herring models in pearl while, pearl green or glow have been accounting for the fish that have been hooked. Other jigs such as Gibbs Minnows or Pucci Lazer Minnows have also been productive. Though the fishing hasn't been that good, it is one of the few places that kings can be caught by shore bound anglers.
