Edmonds Pier - King Salmon

Today was the single best day that we have seen off the Edmonds pier for king salmon this season. We heard of around twenty hookups on kings this AM with about half of them landed. Not too bad, considering how poor it has been so far this season. If you are a shore bound angler this might just be your best opportunity for landing a saltwater caught king salmon this season. The word really got out fast about the bite this AM and we have had a good number of anglers gearing up for the next few days. The fish were caught on the typical fare today. Point Wilson Darts in the 2 1/4 ounce Candlefish in Pearl White, Green Pearl or Glow colors all preform well. Other popular jigs include the Pucci Lazer Minnows, Gibbs Minnows, Luhr Jensen Crippled Herring and Dungeness Stingers. Don't forget this is a single king limit area, though they can be wild or hatchery. Make sure to re-rig them to single barbless hooks.
