Skagit - Pinks and Silvers

I spoke with Nick Petosa this AM while he was on the river. He said if anyone is wanting to get into some outstanding pink salmon fishing now is the time to do it. He said that the fishing has been on fire and that there is no problem in catching limits of fish with little effort. He has been fishing the Sedro Wooley section of the river and has been tossing and twithing jigs for the most part. Though tossing small TBS spoons such as Dick Nites of FST spoons have been doing well also. The plunkers in the Mount Vernon area have been also doing well fishing Spin N Glows and sand shrimp. With the river dropping there is considerably more bar areas to fish. Nick mentioned that he has been catching an odd silver salmon. If you would like a good time on the river give Nick a call.
