Skagit - Pink Salmon

The Skagit opened today, August 1st for pink and silver salmon fishing. I just spoke with Nick Petosa who was plunking on the lower river and said that there were a good number of pinks to be had at the present time. He said that they were plunking TBS (Thin Bladed Spoons) and managed to hook ten in just a few hours of fishing. For those of you that are not familiar with the term TBS spoons those are ones that are stamped out of thin material to give them lots of action. The most common spoons fished for pinks are those such as Dick Nites or FST spoons by Yakima Bait Co..

If you whould like to fish with Nick you can give him a call .
