Winter Steelhead - Starting to Show

We have been hearing of a few early "Winter" steelhead showing up in the past week or so. We heard of the first Reiter Pond winter fish Sunday, a nice 11 pound fish caught on a float and jig combination. The Cascade has also put out an odd early winter steelhead this past week. The Bogachiel River on the OP has put out a few over the past few weeks.

Thanksgiving is generally my "Kick Off" day for the Skykomish over the years with a guy having a reasonable chance of catching a winter steelhead. This traditionally is the day to start fishing the Western Beaches of Whidbey Island for saltwater caught steelhead.
