Rufus Woods Rainbows - Omak Lake Cutthroat

Anton Jones of Darrell And Dad's Family Guide Service sent me an email this AM to give me a rundown on whats happening in his neck of the woods. Rufus Woods Lake is turning out some "Nice" sized rainbows as seen in the photo with Bobby Loomis, Andy Byrd and Pat Saloky showing off a nice 4 person limit of Rufus Triploids. While they did catch some of the fish on jigs the majority came off bait on a slip sinker rig.

The Lahonton Cutthroat have been biting well on Omak Lake with lots of action being the rule. The top producing lures were Silver Horde Kingfiher Light Spoons in a variety of colors. Anton mentioned that they had a 52 fish day on Omak recently - he did say that they had to fish hard, cover lots of water and change gear quite often in order to come up with those numbers.

Lake trout fishing on Chelan has been a little tough, though they are getting fish. The fishing should improve once the fish stabilize into their winter pattern.

Don't forget that Anton has a "Great" Winter Special going on through March 31st. With a group of 3 fishermen it's $150.00 per person. Give him a shout at the numbers below:
