Whidbey Island - Coho

We have been getting rave reports for the Whidbey Island fishermen on coho fishing in the Bush Point - Lagoon Point areas on really nice ocean coho in the 7 -14 pound range. We have been hearing of lots of limits on these nice sized fish. They have been hitting fish pulling the UV Jelly Crush Hot Spot Flashers (Color 950) and an OAL 12 R (Purple Haze) Golden Bait Squid in a 35 size. Sweeten the front hook with a small strip of herring and you are ready to go. From the number of Island folks that have been over to purchase the flashers this past week, I would have to say that there must be something to their effectiveness.

With the rain that we have seen and more on the way we should see a good push of coho into the Straits and then into Puget Sound over the weekend and this next week.
