Slightly Better Steelheading

With the warmer weather and the rain, we have had a few more slightly positive steelhead reports coming in from our northern Puget Sound streams. We have had reports of fish being caught in the Skykomish, Stillaguamish, Skagit, Snoqualmie, Wallace & Cascade. Can't say that the fishing is "HOT" by any means but at least there are a few more fish showing for the anglers that are out there fishing.

We have had a few reports from the beaches on Whidbey Island producing a few fish, there again nothing spectacular.

Overall, it's looking like a below average steelhead season so far. I'll give it a couple of weeks to see if we see any improvement and if not it is what it is.
