North Sound Steelheading

Well, with the continued cold weather we have been receiving the streams have dropped low and clear and once it warms up just a tad the ice starts to flow. Conditions have been less than ideal for good steelhead fishing. Even the real die hards have been complaining of the conditions and wishing for a warming trend and rain!

Even with the conditions we have been hearing of a few steelhead being caught, though nothing really any good with just a fish being caught here and there.

The one thing that we have been hearing is that spoons have been accounting for a little higher percentage of the fish under these conditions. Give a RVRFSHR spoon in 50/50, Gold Little Cleo or a Steelie a try.

Hopefully, with the warmer weather coming in this up coming week we will see a little bit of improvement on the steelhead scene.
