Reports out of Pass Lake continue to be good for those fishing this popular North Puget Sound "Fly Fishing Only" quality lake. The chironomids are really starting to pop and many of the fish are full of these little critters with 15 to 20 coming out of a single throat sample. Most are smaller species in 16 - 18 size range with most being chromers with a black rib. Fish were taking the bugs fished strike indicator style 1 - 2 1/2 feet off the bottom in 13 - 15 feet of water.
Fish caught were up to 18 inches with an average in the 13 - 14 inch range. Hopefully the cooler weather coming in late tomorrow will not slow down the fishing.
