Skagit River Sockeye

Though the Skagit blew out with the rains on Sunday and was darn near flood stage on Monday by yesterday afternoon folks were fishing and catching.  The river is still very high and flowing in the willows and the places that one can fish are extremely limited.  It's taking the better part of 8 ounces to stay on the bottom with the flow.  Make sure that you are keeping your gear in the current seam as it is a very narrow corridor that the fish are moving though.  If you do not have your gear in the zone then you won't be getting any fish.  I spoke with a number of folks that had fish yesterday afternoon and this morning was not bad either.
