Whidbey Steelheading

The Island boys are finding a few steelhead off the beaches this past week. Overall the fishing has been a little on the slow side. The hatchery fish numbers have diminished and the wild fish have yet to show in good numbers yet. We are in a transitional period at the present time. We did hear of nice 15 pound wild fish that was landed this week, but overall the fishing has been a tad slow. In fact one of our beach regulars has gotten skunked the past three trips. But thats fishing!
