Steelhead Closures

We are once again seeing earlier steelhead fishing closures on some of the Puget Sound streams. Here's the ones that are going down early!

White River: From mouth to R Street Bridge in Auburn will be closed to all fishing - effective Jan. 16, 2011.

Carbon River: From mouth to Hwy 162 Bridge in Auburn will be closed to all fishing - effective Jan. 16, 2011.

Upper Puyallup River: From mouth of Carbon River upstream will be closed to all fishing - effective Jan. 16, 2011.

Green River: From the 1st Ave. South Bridge in Seattle upstream to the South 277th Bridge in Auburn will be closed to all fishing - effective Jan. 16, 2011.

Green River: From the 277th Bridge in Auburn upstream to the Tacoma Headworks Dam will be closed to all fishing - effective Feb. 1, 2011.

Unfortunately, we are hearing some rumblings of additional closures on Puget Sound streams coming in the very near future! We will post them as soon as we get official notice of them.
