Upper Skagit - Coho & Pinks

Spoke with Nick Petosa this evening and got the scoop on the upper Skagit fishery. Nick has been fishing the Marblemount to Concrete section on the river. He has been getting 8-9 coho a day for his clients in the 7 - 13 pound range. He has been been fishing spinners, which is a very pleasant way to fish them as the fish are very aggressive and you get some really good strikes. He says that there are still a good numbers of pinks in the river and are from just barely alive to fresh bright and in either case have been nothing but a nuisance for anglers targeting silvers.
The silver fishing should be good through October.

Nick said that there have been a number of silvers caught in the upper teens this past week.
