Westport Tuna & Salmon

Mark Coleman of All Rivers Guide Service sent me an email to give me a run down on yesterday's trip. He said the water conditions were flat and he made the run to blue water (just short of 40 miles) in an hour and a half. They set out the troll gear and had a double on in less than a 1/4 mile of troll. They went to bait fishing and had a four hour non-stop bait bite. They managed to land 37 ablies and lost another 20 or so. The fish were very good sized and were in the 20 - 30 pound range, the largest weighing in at 31, 32 and 34 pounds. They even hooked two on the fly rod, managing to land one. On the way back in they stopped and fished salmon and managed to catch 8 - 10 mixed coho and kings with one tipping the scale at 27 pounds.

This is an outstanding trip for anyone wanting to have a great trip. The advantage of fishing out of Mark's 29' Defiance is the quick trip out to the blue water and the smaller more personalized trip. This is an ideal situation for you to take a small group of your buddies (4 - 6) for a good day on the water.

Mark is going to send some pictures shortly and I will post them when I get them.
