Halibut Reports - Opening Day

Well! The halibut season is just barely underway in Puget Sound and the Straits and the reports are coming in. Talked with Mark Rabel just a moment ago and he had just boated a nice 30 pound flatie out of Mutiny Bay. The fish took a herring bait topped with a piece of squid. Mark mentioned that there were around 40 boats fishing this popular close in spot and that he had seen at least a few more fish boated by other anglers. I am sure we will get more reports in later and will post them as we hear them.
